“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.”
The above quote from Kenny Rogers should remind us that expressing our gratitude is an important virtue.
We live in a fast paced society.
The next six weeks are full of Holiday parties, family get togethers, parades and social events; the time seems to go by very fast. It is easy to get caught into this fast paced world without taking moments in the day to be grateful.
Think about it, we spend most of our days working or going to school, buying presents, going to coffee, or doing other life tasks.
We go, go, go.
Next thing you know, days have flown by.
In a blink of an eye, months and even years are gone.
In this time, we spent limited time actually expressing the things that we are thankful for.
Gratitude helps us grow and live life to the fullest.
Gratitude helps us appreciate what we do have, instead of complaining about what we don’t have.
Gratitude brings happiness and laughter into our lives.
Gratitude unlocks the wholeness of life and gives us a new perspective into what we see.
What are you grateful for?
Today, I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my soul, and the voice that says so much is possible.
I am grateful for our community.
I am grateful for the relationships.
I am grateful for my health.
I am grateful for my business.
I am grateful for my kids.
I am grateful for my family.
I am grateful for my life.
This Thanksgiving, go out and be active and get your workouts in.
But more importantly, be grateful for your life and what you have.
It is a treasure.
