There are NO Secrets
If you are looking for a secret sauce or a quick fix remedy in your fitness life, the starting point is changing that mindset.
First of all, let me make one thing clear…
THERE ARE NO SECRETS to getting results. It’s a committed attitude and a determined mindset that is needed. It’s building a lifestyle to support your goals.
If you want to lose weight, you need to consistently be in a caloric deficit, meaning eating below the amount of calories you burn in a given day. This is the focal point.
If you want to run a marathon, you need to be on a progressive running plan, do what’s necessary to stay away from injury and be consistent.
If you want to get stronger, you need to progressively lift weights and be consistent.
If you want to lose body fat, you need a mix of strength training with cardio and tighten up your nutrition and then be consistent.
I’d be very cautious with any article or plan that is titled, “The Secret to X”.
There are no secrets.
In fact, the formula is usually pretty simple.
Sure, there are specifics and details to arrange according to each individual. But, there are no secrets.
It’s a long term process.
It’s committing to the long game.
It’s changing around your lifestyle.
It’s keeping things simple and mastering the basic components.
It’s BEING CONSISTENT (not perfect) over a long period of time.
This is what it takes….
